I’ve never ordered a 3D-printed part before. Where do I start?
Easiest path: upload an STL, OBJ, or 3MF file and the order tool will show you a live preview, recommend a material, and price the job in real time. If you don’t have a file, you can browse free designs on community sites like Thingiverse or Printables and upload one of those, or send us a physical part to scan.
How big can my part be?
Up to about 10 × 10 × 10 inches (256 × 256 × 256 mm) per piece. Larger parts can often be split and printed in sections — if your file exceeds the build area, the order tool flags it and you can request a custom quote.
How accurate is the print? Will the dimensions match my file?
Design at the size you want — we’ll print as close to it as the printer can reach (typically within ±0.2 mm). For parts that mate together (holes that fit shafts, threads, press-fits), design in a small clearance of about 0.2–0.3 mm the way you would for any manufacturing process. We handle material shrinkage in our slicer software; you don’t need to compensate for it.
What does “permanent laser marking” actually mean?
A precision laser marks the surface of your part — a serial number, QR code, logo, or part ID (or a name, date, or artwork) — after it’s printed. It’s not paint, not a sticker, and won’t peel, scratch off, or fade. It’s the same permanent marking used on industrial components, asset tags, and serial-numbered hardware.
Can I see what my part will look like before I order?
Yes. Once you upload your file, the order tool shows a live 3D preview in the material color you’ve chosen. You can rotate the model, click on a face to place a mark, and watch the price update as you change material, quantity, or marking options. Nothing is committed until you click “Add to Cart” and complete checkout.
How long does an order take?
Standard production is 5 to 7 business days from order confirmation to your door, anywhere in the US. Larger order volumes may require additional fulfillment time. Faster turnaround is available at checkout for an additional fee on most orders.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order. We use standard USPS and UPS rates — no markup.
What if I’m not happy with the result?
If a part arrives damaged, defective, or doesn’t match what was previewed in the order tool, we’ll reprint or refund. For custom orders, please reach out before printing if you have specific tolerance or surface-finish requirements so we can confirm we can meet them.
